West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services Inc. is building a P1-billion sewage treatment (STP) plant in Pasay City to provide wastewater service for the cities of Pasay and Makati.
In an e-mailed statement Monday, Maynilad said the facility in Barangay Malibay is designed to treat up to 46,600 cubic meters of wastewater per day, equivalent to almost 2.5 million five-gallon water containers.
Once operational, the Pasay STP can serve up to 254,000 people in the cities of Pasay and Makati and will help clear the Maricaban Creek that leads to the Manila Bay, the company said.
