Sewage Treatment Plants

Activated Sludge Process

An activated sludge process for removing carbonaceous pollution includes the following items:

  • - Aeration tank where air (or oxygen) is injected in the mixed liquor.
  • - Settling tank (usually referred to as “final clarifier” or “secondary settling tank”) to allow the biological flocs (the sludge blanket) to settle, thus separating the biological sludge from the clear treated water.

Moving Bed BioReactor

The Moving bed Bioreactor (MBBR) an economically solution is offered for wastewater treatment if the “bulk” of the pollution load must be disposed of (as means of cost reduction) or if applicable discharge regulations are not as strict. With this application we offer advanced wastewater treatment solutions for the industrial and municipal markets. These solutions significantly increase the capacity and efficiency of existing wastewater treatment plants.

Membrane BioReactor

Membrane bioreactor(MBR) is the combination of a membrane process like microfiltration or ultrafiltration with a suspended growth bioreactor and is now widely used for municipal and industrialwastewatertreatment with plant sizes up to 80,000 population equivalent (i.e. 48 MLD). Recent technical innovation and significant membrane cost reduction have pushed MBRs to become an established process option to treat wastewaters.

Sequencing Batch Reactor

Sequencing Batch Reactor are industrial processing tanks for the treatment of waste water. SBR reactors treat waste water such assewageor output fromanaerobic digester or mechanical biological treatment facilities in batches. Oxygen is bubbled through the waste water to reduce biochemical oxygen demand (BOD) and chemical oxygen demand (COD) to make suitable for discharge into sewers or for use on land.

Bio Filtration

Biofiltration is the removal and oxidation of organic gases (volatile organic compounds, or VOCs) from contaminated air by beds of compost or soil (biofilter media). Billions of indigenous microorganisms inherent within the biofilter media convert the organic compounds to carbon dioxide and water. These naturally occurring microorganisms consume the offending compounds in a safe, moist, oxygen-rich environment.
